Not a club. A branch of a global professional body.

That was the message at the chapter's opening event at Alfaisal. ISACA is the professional body behind CISA and CISM, and this chapter is how students here plug into it.
About the chapterWhat you will explore
Our chapter brings ISACA's world to Alfaisal. Through workshops, networking, and real industry insight, you can explore these four areas alongside other students before you graduate.
Governance
The frameworks that keep organizations accountable, transparent, and secure.
Risk Management
Identify, assess, and manage the risks that define modern digital systems.
Cybersecurity
Hands-on exposure to defending networks, data, and the people who rely on them.
IT Audit
Learn how audits assure the controls and trust that organizations are built on.
Paths you can prepare for
Each area has an ISACA credential behind it: CGEIT for governance, CRISC for risk, CISM for cybersecurity, and CISA for IT audit. CDPSE covers privacy.
| Field | Credential | What it is for | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Governance | CGEITCertified in the Governance of Enterprise IT | Aligning IT with what the organisation is for. | Students aiming at strategy, consulting, or board-level technology governance. |
| Risk Management | CRISCCertified in Risk and Information Systems Control | Finding, measuring, and controlling IT risk. | Analytical students interested in risk, controls, and how technology decisions get justified. |
| Cybersecurity | CISMCertified Information Security Manager | Running a security programme, not just a tool. | Students who see themselves managing security teams or advising leadership. |
| IT Audit | CISACertified Information Systems Auditor | The flagship. Audit, control, assurance. | Anyone drawn to IT audit, compliance, or internal-control work — including accounting and business students. |
| Privacy | CDPSECertified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer | Privacy built into systems, not bolted on. | Engineering and data students who want privacy and data-protection expertise. |
For the professional certifications, ISACA typically lets you sit the exam first and meet the experience requirement afterwards — so preparing as a student is a head start, not a waiting game. Current requirements live on isaca.org (opens in a new tab).
